Bruce Brody, the CEO of New Cyber Partners, gets rave reviews for his presentation on the future of FISMA Reform at RSA 2010.

 

The White House announces intent to move away from paper-based compliance; thus making continuous monitoring the future direction of Federal cyber security management.  The OMB FISMA Metrics Task Force is working on new reporting requirements for federal agencies, which will be released within weeks.

4 April 2010:  Auerbach Publishing signs contract for new book entitled, "FISMA Reform: Continuous Monitoring and the New Way Forward," to be authored by Mr. Bruce Brody, our CEO, and Mr. Dallas Bishoff, our President and COO.  The company is honored to contribute our knowledge and understanding of this complex topic.

1 April 2010: New Cyber Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Lynn McNulty as the Vice President, Government Affairs.  Lynn is the past Chairman of the ISC2 Government Advisory Board, a past Vice President at RSA Security, a prior NIST Deputy Director, and a past CISO at the Department of State.

22 March 2010: House Bill 4900, "Federal Information Security Amendments Act of 2010" passes subcommittee vote.  HR 4900 is substantially similar to Senate Bill 921, known as "United States Information and Communications Enhancement Act of 2009."  Other congressional activities reflect pending changes to FISMA, which was passed in December of 2002.

15 March 2010: New Cyber Partners initiates action to create the New Cyber Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit company.  New Cyber Institute will develop and deliver professional training, as well as fund a Cyber Security scholarship program.

10 March 2010: New Cyber Partners agrees to work with the Cloud Security Alliance to create a Public Sector Chapter, to be based out of Washington, DC.
